HUD Specialized Housing and Services for Victims of Human Trafficking

In collaboration with U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is seeking applicants for a two-part initiative to enhance the quality and quantity of safe housing and specialized services for victims of human trafficking. Applicants for this funding opportunity will demonstrate their ability to provide safe housing options and client-focused, trauma-informed services that help participants obtain permanent housing and become financially self-sufficient.

First, HUD has allotted $1 million for a technical assistance provider with experience assisting HUD- and DOJ-funded organizations with housing and services specifically for victims of human trafficking. Applications for this part of the initiative are due by Friday, August 30, 2019.

Second, HUD expects to award 20 grants with $13.5 million in estimated program funding over three years. Applications for this portion of the funding opportunity are due by Wednesday, October 30, 2019
