New Resources from HRSA

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) developed two new brochures to alert women and their families and friends to the symptoms and seriousness of depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy, and how to get treatment. Also available are resources to help community health workers learn more about prevention and early identification of fetal exposure to alcohol and other drugs.

On November 6, 2019, national and local stakeholders for runaway and homeless youth (RHY) gathered at Sasha Bruce Youthwork in Washington, D.C., to kick off National Runaway Prevention Month (NRPM) and celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act.

Get to Know a Grantee: The Colorado Rural Collaborative

The Colorado Rural Collaborative for Runaway and Homeless Youth has served homeless and at-risk youth in rural communities for more than a decade. Currently, the Rural Collaborative is in its second year of its current Basic Center Program (BCP) grant. This RHY program covers a wide geographic region within Colorado’s Balance of State Continuum of Care (CoC) from the Western Slope to Southern Colorado to the Northeast Quadrant of the State. For this edition of Get to Know a Grantee, we spoke with Denise McHugh and Kippi Clausen who co-lead the Rural Collaborative.
