Helping Native Youth: A Youth Voices Podcast

In this video podcast produced by the National Clearinghouse on Homeless Youth and Families, Bailee Allen, the chairperson of the National Runaway Safeline Youth Advisory Board, describes challenges faced by Native young people today and how programs funded by the Family and Youth Services Bureau’s Runaway and Homeless Youth Program can help. Bailee is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in Oklahoma and serves on the Mvskoke Nation Youth Council. After running away from home and getting into trouble as a teen, Bailee decided to turn her life around, went back to school, and received her associate degree.
