Abstract: 

The Young Women's Project Life Skills Workbook is a workbook intended for African-American girls on building self-esteem and avoiding drugs and unwanted and early pregnancies, crime, violence, and street gangs. The workbook contains a curriculum that emphasizes making decisions about life choices and friendships and stimulating interest in written and verbal self-expression as a means toward self- empowerment. Topics include health and personal care, school and academic challenges, the media, and family relationships.
