This document is a welcome brochure for Camp Cookie, located in San Juan Capistrano, California, and founded in 1990. The Camp is a non-profit organization that provides unique, positive growth, self-worth, self-esteem, and self-confidence building activities for children in protective services at county emergency facilities. The Camp has earned numerous awards for its work with children, and no child is ever turned away. Toward their mission, the Camp provides hands-on equestrian activities designed to create successful outcomes, in order to help children overcome fears and build self- confidence while having fun. This welcome brochure includes information about the Camp's activities and its staff; a listing and description of awards received; letters from kids, parents and others affected by the Camp, including a commendation letter from President Bill Clinton; and newspaper articles about the Camp.
