Abstract:

This 2-page chart outlines risk and protective factors for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in infancy and early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. The risk and protective factors are listed separately for each age group, and sorted according to whether the source is the individual, family, or school/community. In addition, the risk factors are color-coded to indicate the specific types of disorders with which they are associated (depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, conduct disorders, and/or substance abuse).
