Almost 200 people die of a drug overdose every day in the U.S. and more than 130 overdoses are related to opioid misuse. Unused prescriptions in the home can be stolen, lost, or misused. To help safely get rid of prescription medications that are no longer needed, thousands of locations around the U.S. are participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27.

Check your medicine cabinets, clean out those old prescriptions, and turn them in – safely and anonymously – at a location near you. Visit the Take Back Day website to find your nearest location. You won’t be alone – more than 930 tons of prescription drugs were collected in 2018!
