Abstract:

This pamphlet provides information about the National Mentoring Center and its work to strengthen mentoring programs for youth. Ways in which the Center strives to create connections between children and caring adults are: (1) working in conjunction with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's Juvenile Mentoring Program (JUMP) to provide training and resources; (2) supporting JUMP sites to create and improve local one-to-one mentoring programs for at-risk youth; and (3) collaborating with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Public/Private Ventures to provide resources, training, and referral services. The pamphlet provides information about who the Center serves, training opportunities available around the country, and information services provided by the Center.
